Google is certainly putting their best foot forward when it comes to cloud computing, especially after the announceement of Chrome OS Netbooks, and their current CR-48 Pilot Program internationally. Now Google Docs and GMail support cloud printing as seen in the pic options above. The catch right now is that you need to have a Windows PC with the latest Chrome browser installed (ver. 9.0.597 minimum), where the printer is connected to the computer. When Chrome recognizes the printer installed, you’ll be able to send print jobs from your mobile apps to Google’s cloud Print service, which sends the print job to your Windows PC.
Anyone using Android 2.1+ or iOS3+ will be able to see the print option from within their mobile Google Docs and GMail apps starting today! On top of this, Mac and Linux support is “coming soon”. You gotta love Google!
